Kei Filipek
Kei Filipek is a LA based actor born in Nara and raised in Kyoto, Japan. He
is perfectly bilingual in Japanese and English as his father is Australian
and his mother is Japanese. He came to Los Angeles when he was 18 to
pursue his career in entertainment.
Kei started his career as a model in Japan and moved to Los Angeles to
study Theatre Arts at Santa Monica College. He landed his first acting gig
playing a series regular on the TV show “Soccer Boys” directed by Victor
Don Santos. He was then cast to play leading roles in films such as “This is
Tokyo” directed by Takeshi Tanaka, and “Love Shack” directed by the
Kobayashi Brothers. Kei continues to model as well.
Kei is an avid drummer, which he started when he was 12. He played in a
band when he was in high school and performed at various events. He also
participated in a musical with The Young Americans College of Performing
Arts.
Kei’s tall, slender, unique, ambiguous look gives him an exotic, mysterious
aura that creates a unique presence on the big screen.
